Aetos Dios - Limited Edition - Linocut Print

For this limited edition linocut reduction print, I took inspiration from Greek Mythology and the golden eagle as the divine bird, herald of victory and messenger of Zeus - Aetos Dios.

Humans have long had a fascination with the Golden Eagle, they are national animals appear as motifs on coats of arms and flags, and in myth and legend throughout the world and especially in classical antiquity. I also took inspiration from vintage postage stamps and styled the print as if it were featured in a stamp collectors portfolio.

Limited Edition of 26 - Signed and Titled with certificate of authenticity.
Printed in Diarylide Yellow, Ochre and a Lustrous Metallic Gold ink.

An original print, measuring roughly A5 (6x8inches/15x21cm) on archival quality Somerset Satin 300gsm paper using eco-friendly vegetable oil relief inks. Framed not included.

Each edition is lovingly hand-printed from the original linocut block in my home studio,
Due to the nature of lino printing each is unique, varying slightly in texture, tone, colour or registration, as this is what makes linocut so special.

Prints are sent in board-backed envelopes with some additional cardboard to ensure they arrive fully protected and in the best condition. All deliveries are insured and trackable.
